This position is located in the Twin Falls District and may be filled in either Shoshone, Idaho or Twin Falls, Idaho.
Travel and relocation expenses will not be paid by the Department of the Interior. Any travel, transportation and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the responsibility of the selected employee.

Direct Deposit Required. - Provide assistance to professionals by coordinating and collecting range studies and identifying range improvement needs.
Assist and coordinate with other disciplines to accomplish the Bureau's mission.
Ensure compliance of grazing permits through use supervision and allotment inspections.
Contact permittees and other interested publics concerning maintenance, utilization and compliance.
Completes grazing applications, case file preparation, and bill preparation.
Assists in fire suppression and rehabilitation. Personal contacts are frequent, critical, and demanding with ranchers and other public land users. Passage of a pre-employment physical is required. You must also pass the work capacity test for non-arduous position.
The physical demands of this position include rigorous travel on foot, horseback, or all-terrain vehicle (ATV).

The job specific questions relate to the following knowledge, skills and abilities required to do the work of this position.
KSA 1 : Knowledge of Federal and State regulations pertaining to the range program on monitoring, range improvements, wildlife, wilderness, visual, recreation, riparian habitats, and wild horses and burros.
KSA 2 : Knowledge of grazing systems, ranching practices, animal husbandry and ability to identify distinguishing marks including brands, earmarks, and eartags.
KSA 3 : Ability to communicate effectively in person with all levels of co-workers, grazing permittees, and other interested publics, prepare complex analysis of monitoring data for reports, prepare project and compliance reports, and prepare correspondence for the appropriate signature, such as field manager, staff or self.

For GS-05: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-04 in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience at this level may include but is not limited to range duties (i.e. livestock operation, preservation of lands comparable to public lands, conservation, range research, range or forest fire control, suppression, or prevention) such as being closely supervised in conducting and reporting livestock use authorization, livestock utilization levels, and livestock trespass.
For GS-06: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-05 in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience at this level may include but is not limited to range duties (i.e. livestock operation, preservation of lands comparable to public lands, conservation, range research, range or forest fire control, suppression, or prevention), having minimal supervision in conducting and reporting livestock use authorization, livestock utilization levels, and livestock trespass.
For GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-06 in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience at this level may include but is not limited to range duties (i.e. livestock operation, preservation of lands comparable to public lands, conservation, range research, range or forest fire control, suppression, or prevention), independently conducting use monitoring and reporting livestock use authorization, recording livestock utilization levels, collecting monitoring data and completing livestock trespass forms and reports.
For GS-08: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-07 in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience at this level may include but is not limited to range duties (i.e. livestock operation, preservation of lands comparable to public lands, conservation, range research, range or forest fire control, suppression, or prevention), independently conducting use supervision, monitoring and reporting livestock use authorization, recording livestock utilization levels, collecting monitoring data and completing livestock trespass forms, reports and settlement.
Substitution of Education for the Specialized Experience Requirement:
For GS-05: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in forestry, range management, agriculture, or a subject-matter field directly related to the position, or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as those shown above for GS-04. No more than 6 semester hours in mathematics is creditable.
For GS-06: One half-year (9 semester hours) of directly related graduate level education study such as forestry, range management, agriculture, or a subject-matter field directly related to this position.
For GS-07: One year (18 semester hours) of directly related graduate level education study such as forestry, range management, agriculture, or a subject-matter field directly related to this position.
For GS-08: One year and a half (27 semester hours) of directly related graduate level education study such as forestry, range management, agriculture, or a subject-matter field directly related to this position. You will need to clearly state your undergraduate/graduate degree(s) and submit your college transcripts or a listing of your college courses that includes hours and grades.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
