Job Description:
Responsible for food purchasing, meal production, and timely meal service.
Direct and supervise all dietary personnel including hiring/firing, orientation, training, work schedules, etc.
Conducts employee performance reviews.
Conduct daily kitchen inspections to ensure the foodservice production area is safe and sanitary.
Inspects storage areas on a weekly basis for proper temperatures, cleanliness, and order.
Properly document department activities and submit reports to administration as required.
Work with the facility Administrator to meet budgetary guidelines.
Participates in department head meetings.

Certified Dietary Manager certification is required Strong understanding of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations regarding nursing home dietary requirements Prior foodservice experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred Minimum one-year prior supervisory experience is preferred Recommended Skills Administration Long Term Care Purchasing Process Restaurant Operation Home Care Scheduling Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
